A Technology Review is the natural starting point if any of these sound familiar:

  • Costs have crept up over the years and you'd like to know what you're paying for
  • A key system or spreadsheet is ageing, and you want to plan its future calmly
  • You're growing, and want foundations that will scale with you
  • You'd simply value an independent second opinion

What we look at

We keep the review proportionate to the size of your business. It typically covers:

  • Your goals and priorities. Where the business is heading, and what technology needs to do to support that.
  • Systems and software. What you use, how well it fits, how the pieces connect, and where people are working around them.
  • Information and data. Where it lives, how it's organised, who can access it, and how ready it is for AI.
  • Security and resilience basics. Accounts, access, backups and continuity, all measured against recognised good practice such as Cyber Essentials.
  • Costs and licences. What you're paying for, what's being used, and where there's overlap.
  • AI opportunities. Specific, realistic places where AI could save time or improve quality, and what you'd need in place first.

What you get

  • A prioritised roadmap. Typically five to ten recommendations, each with the reasoning, rough cost, effort and benefit, and grouped into "now", "next" and "later".
  • Quick wins. Improvements you can make straight away, often at little or no cost.
  • A walkthrough session. We talk you and your team through the findings and answer questions.
  • An honest view. Including what's working well, and what we'd leave alone.

How it works

  1. Initial conversation. Free, with no obligation. We understand your business and agree the scope and a fixed price.
  2. Discovery. Short conversations with you and key members of the team, and a look at your systems (with appropriate access).
  3. Analysis. We assess what we've found against your goals and good practice.
  4. Roadmap and walkthrough. You receive the written roadmap, and we take you through it in person or online.

Everything is confidential, and we only ask for the access we need.

Frequently asked

Do we need to be "technical" to get value from this?

Not at all. The review is designed for business owners and managers. We do the technical digging and explain what we find in plain English.

Will you just recommend more things to buy?

No. Often the most valuable recommendations are about using what you already have more effectively, or stopping paying for things you don't need. We can supply some licences if you'd like us to, but the roadmap is about what's right for you, and we'll say so when you'd be better off elsewhere.

What if we already have an IT support company?

That's common, and helpful. We work alongside your existing provider. Support companies keep things running day to day; a review steps back and looks at direction, value and opportunities.

Are we committed to anything afterwards?

No. The roadmap is yours to act on however you choose. Some clients ask us to help deliver parts of it; others take it forward themselves or with their existing suppliers.
