Our story
Eastpoint began as a software company, and building things well is still at the heart of what we do. Over the years, clients increasingly asked us to help with the bigger picture too: which systems to choose, how to move to the cloud, and now how to put AI to work sensibly. Today we combine that advice with the hands-on delivery to see it through.
At our largest we were a team of eighteen. We were proud of that team's diversity (at one point half our technical team were women), and we ran an apprenticeship scheme and hired graduates, giving talented young developers their first opportunities.
Today we're deliberately smaller: a senior core team that brings in trusted specialists when a project calls for it. Cambridge has a remarkable depth of technical expertise, and we draw on it. That keeps us flexible and personal, and it means you get experienced people at every stage.
Who we work with
We've worked with a world-leading university, a high-performance engineering company, an international racing and breeding business and a great many family-owned businesses. Family businesses are personal, relationship-driven organisations, and they value exactly what we aim to offer: trust, discretion and continuity. Our other long-standing sectors are engineering and technology.
Clients trust us with meaningful conversations at a strategic level, as well as with implementation and long-term support. Our longest relationship, with a creative industries company in East Anglia, is now in its fifteenth year. We don't publish client names: our clients value their privacy, and so do we.
What we believe
- Business first. Technology is only worthwhile if it helps you serve customers, support your people or run the business better.
- Built to last. Well-made software is easier and cheaper to support for years. We build for the long run.
- Proportion matters. The right answer for a twenty-person business isn't a scaled-down enterprise solution. It's something designed for you.
- Openness builds trust. We can supply Microsoft 365 and other cloud licences, and we're upfront about that. Our advice is always our honest view of what suits you, even when that isn't something we supply.
- Clarity is a kindness. Plain English, clear costs, and no mystery about what we're doing or why.
Where we work
We're based in Cambridge and work with businesses across Cambridgeshire and its neighbours, including Ely, Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots, March, Wisbech and Peterborough. We're always happy to meet in person, and much of our work can be done remotely for clients further afield. Our experience includes supporting a large retailer's cloud programme in the United States.
